Hello! Thank you for selecting Hand Poured Apothecary! I'm Rachel, the sole creator of these products. The inspiration behind Hand Poured Apothecary stems from my family's struggles with allergies and asthma, leading us to adopt a holistic lifestyle. After eliminating toxic shampoos, detergents, and soaps from our home, we explored the best waxes for candles. I adore using wax melts and candles, but due to our health concerns, we turned to beeswax for its natural properties.

 What sets us apart is that all of our beeswax is sourced from my uncle a local beekeeper in my hometown, coming directly from the hive! I carefully filter the wax, which may contain bee parts, honey, propolis, and pollen, to ensure you receive only the highest quality beeswax. Depending on the season, our beeswax products may vary in color reflecting when the wax was harvested. If you notice a frosty layer on your beeswax, that's called "bloom"—its  natural surfacing, confirming that your beeswax is 100% pure! If your beeswax doesn’t bloom, it may be mixed with other types, indicating it's not authentic. Should your candle develop bloom, simply wipe it away with a cloth, and it’s as good as new!
